Adam Levin leads off the three Saturday-evening 2013-2014 Guitar Series recitals on November 16, with his Spivey Hall debut program of classics by Bach and Turina plus works specially written for him by contemporary Spanish composers.
Award-winning American guitarist ADAM LEVIN, acclaimed for his “enviable technique” and “high musicianship which shines like a beacon through is performances” (Classical Guitar magazine), makes his New York solo recital debut at Le Poisson Rouge celebrating the launch of his first Naxos recording, "21st Century Spanish Guitar, Vol. 1.", the first of four volumes documenting his major collaboration with 30 of the new century’s ‘Spanish Masters.’ Levin’s program builds bridges from the past with music by Eugène Ysaÿe, J.S. Bach, and Joaquín Turina, alongside new virtuosic works dedicated to him by Ricardo Llorca, Eduardo Morales-Caso, and Octavio Vazquez.
