“ The album opens with the song that initially turned me on to Chris and Kathleen back in November, “Before You Go”. Previously the only version released was a Youtube video of the song being played in a bedroom, and while there were obvious compositional differences, I immediately loved the recorded version. The album recording of the song introduces percussion and a much bigger sound than I had before experienced, with more complex guitar work and banjo and violin weaving in and out of Chris and Kathleen’s harmonizing vocals. The album continues with “A Simple Man”, a track full of delicate finger picking and soft harmonies. The lyrics ring close to home, discussing the urge to live life fully and avoid missing out on experiences. http://withawe.com/acorntribe-before-you-go”
