A BEAUTIFUL CURSE was officially born in 2004 by freelance musician/producer Kenny James (who has worked with George Clinton and the P-Funk All Stars, 24-7 Spyz, Celldweller, The Unknownn, The Samples, and so many more). The CURSE, originally named My Drama, was a part time project combining emotional/dramatic rock, electronica, and the downtempo/trip hop movement.

In 2007, Kenny discovered uber-musician Brian Skeel through his work with mutual musical collaborators Contingence and Brian's remix work with Fixt Music. Time and time again, each musical piece that grabbed Kenny's ear had Brian involved. It was obvious that Brian was clearly a talent not to pass on. In late 2007, Brian was inducted as a full-time collaborator with the now newly named/newly focused A BEAUTIFUL CURSE bringing amazing guitar work along with monsterous yet extremely tasty programming and background vocals as well among other contributions.

Initially designed primarily for film soundtracks and music licensing (t.v. commercials, video games, etc.), A BEAUTIFUL CURSE is now a full-on music project headed by its two main contributors with all eyes focused on the release of the debut cd "As It Should Be" coming in 2008 and live performances in the near future as well. Yet, no matter its design, it's truly dream-music from the heart and soul. A collision of groove and mood for the senses.
