ViliFi is a power rock trio from east central Florida, realized of passion and molded by fate. Singer/guitar, Shain Honkonen leads an expression of music to test the soul. “Playing a series of shows, the band ViliFi will give audiences a chance to experience an eclectic mix of original progressive rock ’n’ roll as well as cover classics. The band will perform an original music show tonight at the 321 Local Rock Bar in Cocoa Village and will headline Saturday’s Port Fest 2011 at Port Canaveral. Tonight’s show is the final round of the battle of the bands, with the winner earning a spot at an upcoming House of Blues show.
The band, consisting of Shain Honkonen (vocals/guitar), Jake Hogeland (drums) and Barry Conaway (bass), writes and records original music, but is widely known for its spot-on renditions of classic rock songs from multiple eras.
I spoke with Honkonen about their music, lyrics and their future. So, Let’s Shake Rattle & Know: ViliFi.
Q:How does ViliFi differ from some of the previous bands you have been a part of in the past?
A: I think the music has a little more of an edge to it. The subject matter is more diverse and hard-hit”

ViliFi is unfortunately beginning their search for a new Bass Player.
Barry has many aspirations and we fully support him pursuing them, he will be continuing to rock with us until the summertime and we cannot thank him enough for his contributions.
