“Local musician hopes to ROCK OUT in Rome.# 1 on ReverbNation, chosen for the Hard Rock Cafe’s Global Battle of the Bands HESPERIA • Justin Schuster can trace his musical roots back to when he was a baby, when his father cared for him while listening to the sounds of Pink Floyd. “I grew up playing 45s of the Beatles and the Rolling Stones,” said Schuster, a native of New York. “I later graduated to 8-tracks, which were just awesome.” Today, the 32-year-old’s Hesperia-based band, Unstrung Guitar, is getting the attention of music fans on the website ReverbNation, which currently ranks his band No. 1 on the local (Victorville-area) charts in the rock category. Schuster, who moved to the area three years ago, said Unstrung Guitar has been chosen for the Hard Rock Cafe’s Global Battle of the Bands, which offers a grand prize of $10,000 and an opportunity to play in Rome before thousands of fans. “The Hard Rock Cafe chose my band so I'm grateful for the blessing!”
