About

Hi I'm Tom. I played in several bands with my brother Johnny Mannion from 1976 to 1983. I was the lead singer, songwriter and lead guitarist. Johnny, who was just a punk kid of 16 or 17, thought he should be playing all the guitar solos. So everytime we would have a practice he would throw himself down on the floor of the garage flailing his arms and kicking his legs and holding his breath until he turned blue. After about 15 minutes of this I would have to go over and throw water in his face to get him to breathe again. Well after having to go through numerous fits of his, I decided to let him play lead guitar and do all the solos. You can check out this Hack's MySpace Music site here: http://www.myspace.com/johnnymannionband or http://www.reverbnation.com/johnnymannionband**************************** I practiced guitar 3 hours daily for many years. I had to quit playing guitar in 1996 and sold everything to pay off medical debts incured after both my arms were ripped off by several alien beings when I tried to help them after their spaceship had crash landed.
Without arms I, of course, was unable to play a note for the next 12 years. I sat there one day twiddling my imaginary thumbs and thinking how cool it would be to have my arms back when suddenly I felt tingling in my shoulders. Then to my utter amazement my arms started to grow back. Then my son David, seeing that I had arms again, gave me a Les Paul and I was hooked again. I had to learn how to play guitar all over again. I've lost alot of speed and technique but I'm having a blast getting to play guitar, write and record songs. 3 years ago an angel fell from heaven and we married. She is a huge inspiration to me. She is awesome in every way. An awesome woman and an awesome guitar....man it just doesn't get any better than that!! Well except for your arms growing back!******************************************************************** I use a Les Paul, MOZE handmade acoustic, Mogami cables, Line6 Toneport GX, BOSS Metal zone MT-2, Sony mic (30 years old) Amplitube 2, Virtual DJ 5.2, ACID 7 pro, Audacity 1.3.7, Polderbits sound recorder and editor, FreeRip 2.6, D'Addario nickel wound XL reg. lights EXL110 strings. I record directly into the computer using either the multitrack recorder AUDACITY 1.3.7 or ACID 7 Pro. I create my own backing tracks with Acoustica Mixcraft, Virtual DJ and Acid 7 or use pre-recorded ones. I don't sell my songs. I'm here just because it's so much fun to play and record. Hope you enjoy the music.

---TOM
