Thee Minutes of Fame (3MF) was formed in January 2006. It was a bleak few months for the band as they played with two guitarists (Josh Johnson and David Janike), a drummer (Andrew Folts), and a new singer every couple weeks. The band hit an all time low as it began recording songs using a Fisher Price My First Sony for a microphone and a digital camera which only took three minutes of video. Thus, the band name changes from the two previous titles, first The Eufouria then Eklypxe (which everyone found impossible to pronounce) to Three Minutes of Fame, or 3MF. Eventually the band lost all singing talent to the Ficher Price. Early songs included lots of emo like So Far Away and Love Story. Music videos were made, Cute is What We Aim for clothes were worn, and Josh began to dress very emo (ski goggles and such).

Songs since then have been a mix of emo and rock. Peace, Love, Rock and Roll; War; and several of Davids songs have yet to be recorded due to a bad computer, despite the awesome recording equipment.

Recentley Gabe Guzman (Mexican) joined the band on guitar and David switched over to piano and vocals. 3MF's then came out with the smash hit "Yesterdays." After that came California, which features some sweet cowbell, and lots of "On and ON!!"s in the chorus, because the band was at a loss for lyrics.
