The Apple Jam is an annual roots-based "micro-"fest hosted by the Phelps family. Located on private property in Bondsville, MA, the Apple Jam offers self-contained secluded / exclusive, family friendly scene with legitimate musical talent from Friday night into Sunday morning. Featuring acts from NYC to Plattsburgh, Ithaca to Boston, roots genres from blues to bluegrass to zydeco to plain old dirty rock and roll will dazzle the main stage (please visit the "Band bios" section). A small side stage offers open mic slots between the main acts to keep energy high and music pumping. Bring your family and camp for free in the designated camping area; taste the different flavors of the food vendors, dance in the sun by day and under the stars by the big bonfire late night. Kids under 12 are free and will be entertained by the attractions in the kids' tent including face painting and a visit from a special guest.

This band shifts back to the rootsy vibe of Electric Blue and the Kozmik Truth but takes it's own direction with an Americana flavor that feels like Saturday night juke joint at Sunday morning ...See Full Bio
“Valley staple Gary Phelps checked in to report the birth of his latest musical brainchild. And although Phelps himself claims responsibility for 100 percent of the new lyrics, melodies and arrangement, he is quick to note that when it came to finding accomplices to help him actualize the sonic sugarplums that had been dancing his head, he may very well have hit the Mutherload (myspace.com/mutherload) in terms of talent. "I was running this small festival, Apple Jam, and I decided to track down some friends and see if they would help me perform a few originals I had penned," the Muther-fronter said of the origin of his proverbial supergroup from the jam band set—Mutherload boasts former members of Electric Blue & The Kozmik Truth, Lobsterz from Marz, Ciderhouse and The Nightcrawlers, to name a choice few. "It turned out we had great musical chemistry and everybody wanted to move forward with the project, so here we are." ”
