The Shadowpunk Grind began in the early 90's out of the ashes of another local band, Vox and The Charliehorses. It's surviving members added a keyboardist and after a short period of rehearsals changed their name to Grind. Calling their sound Shadowpunk, they soon gained a reputation for upstaging their headliners.
