“LUSH TONES: The Seattle rock band brings it live. Ted Brown Music Outreach (TBMO) was introduced in 2007 by Ted Brown Music store in Tacoma, with the mission to provide children throughout the South Sound access to music through scholarships, instruments and education. TBMO is throwing a fundraiser and instrument drive. The event is all-ages, and features the Lush Tones, Sevens Revenge and two of TBMO's own Live Out Loud! alumni bands - Destination Unknown and A Fistful of Dollars. Northwest garage rockers Freddie & The Screamers featuring members from The Sonics and The Kingsmen will headline.”
“Local buzz seems to never end for the Lush Tones. The band is preparing to release a much-anticipated EP, click below and take a listen to some pop/rock/alternative deliciousness as only this hugely talented trio can create.”
“Make a Scene: BANDS FOR A BENEFIT Since 2007, Tacoma’s Ted Brown Music Outreach has provided camps, training and musical instruments for aspiring young musicians. And, on April 28, the non-profit group will hold a benefit concert at Louie G’s Pizza, 5219 Pacific Highway E., in Fife, to bolster their programs for area kids. Bands for a Benefit will feature performances by Freddie & the Screamers, Seven’s Revenge, the Lush Tones, Destination Unknown and A Fistful of Dollars. Those last two are alumni of TBM Outreach’s biggest program, Live It Out Loud, an eight-week summer program that helps local 12- to 18-year-old form bands and polish a variety of musical skills, from songwriting to recording techniques. The program culminates in a big musical showcase at Tacoma’s Rialto Theatre.”
