Timothy Foote, Sarah Dalton, Matt Baudry, and I will be performing in the round, for a night of holiday classics, original music, and new favorites. From 7-9:30pm, we will take turns performing, and acompanying one another, and I will be joined by my son, on Bass and Trumpet for this special engagement. The show is free, though tips are encouraged, and Tongues coffee has plenty to keep your thirst and appetite quenched. Hope to see you there!
Highland is holding their annual Candy Cane Hunt, and have asked me to perform during the two hour event. Last year, I performed, visited with Santa, enjoyed Smores, hot chocolate, and crafts with my kids. They had a great time. Hope to see you there! They are encouraging pre-registration for kids interested in doing the activities, so they can stock appropriately. The link above has registration information. Looking to their website, the event details are as follows: Come experience the 3rd annual Great Candy Cane Hunt at the Apollo Center! Kids will get to search an outside course for candy canes, decorate their own cookies, and create cheerful holiday crafts! Hot chocolate will also be served to help warm up the festivities! Younger kids will tackle the course first with older kids going later. The cost is $7 per child. Dress for the outdoors, but if the weather is too cold, we will have an indoor course.
Poetic Catnip is a monthly gathering of poets and musicians, held at Connect Me, in Ferndale, MI. They usually have a featured musical guest, and this month, it's me. If you write poetry or music, or enjoy hearing either, come on out and share or listen. The balance of the evening is an open share of material, usually with room for at least 3 pieces each.
Stuart Benbow and James Henes light up the Plymouth Coffee Bean for a night of all original live music. Stuart performs an acoustic americana blend of country, folk, pop, and indie, spiced up with a looping pedal from time to time. James has an edgier background with inspiration drawn from Metal on down. He wears his heart on his sleeve shows honesty that counters the contrived songs of the day. With two songwriters who both do their best to sing truths rather than convention, spanning a wide array of genres, the evening promises to be an entertaining journey. We hope you can come along.
