About

Forget all the other bands now named Soup - this one owns the name!!  Formed in 1995, the band toured the East Coast from 1996-2002 and recorded 4 albums - 3 on the label Crunch Groove Records, and 1 double live album on the Phoenix Rising Records Label recorded by legendary producer Sam Kopper.
1996's "Laughing at the Fables" introduced the world to Soup with it's acoustic groove feel.
1998's "Breakdown" brought Soup's amazing live performance feel to a recorded format, adding in all of the flavor that the studio can!  Magic moments are abound on this recording - with fate stepping in time after time.
2000's "A Tour of Two Cities" recorded Soup at two historical venues - the Cotton Club in Atlanta and The Wetlands in NYC.  The 1/2 Peach, 1/2 Apple cover showcased the bands extraordinary talent as musicians and performers and captured it for all the world to hear.  Subsequently, the band was written up in 2 books - "Jam Bands" and "Rhythm and Blues Stew".
2001's "Soup!" took the band in a new, more electric direction.  The band rocks out in the way that only they can!
The band split up in October of 2002, but continued to get so many request from old fans, that after a 5 year hiatus, Soup - the REAL Soup - got back together for 1 show in Atlanta at Smith's Olde Bar on 9/29/07.  Pics up on myspace now! DVD of the show coming soon. Check for updates on myspace and shoutlife. We are  featured artists on Mytracks.  You aked for it... And now we're back one night only!!! September 27th Atlanta ga!!!!! Check back for details!
