About
RYDABOY-
Rydaboy was born in Newark, New Jersey. Moved throughout the different bureaus of Jersey up until he was 14. Due to drastic times calling for drastic measures his mother moved him and his siblings to North Carolina in hopes of leading him down a path not seen within the gritty streets of Newark. Being in the country was something that changed the perspective of Da Boy due to him not being able to utilize the people around him. He knew no one and had no resources for wrong-doing. Therefore he buckled down and chose to handle his studies, and basketball became apart of his life that stood out. Gaining knowledge beyond his known abilities made him start to write poetry at 16, after finding his mothers poetry book hidden in a locked suitcase under her bed. 2 years passed and his Step-Father was released from a bid in TX. His mother packed up everything and moved them there due to the picture that was drawn and the possible future for her aging child. Houston is where he landed when the dice actually hit the table. Once there he honed his skills on the pad and the court, writting poetic reviews and debates, and meeting his now good friend Joe Buck$. Not long after finishing his junior year of high school his mother was diagnosed with a brain tumor and lung cancer. This shook his world in ways that no one ever seen coming. His family gathered the scattered pieces and moved back to NC to be closer to her married family in her dying days. Rydaboy States: "I never thought of my poetry in lyric form until I moved back to NC and things started to fall apart even more. In my time in Houston, Joe was with a squad that laid some tracks which I thought was fresh but never tried it until I retuned there." In as little as 6 months his mother was broken down to the point where she couldn't correspond with the world around her. This scarred him to the point where school and life in general became miniscule. There was nothing more important to him and losing that branded him for life. He then chose to move back to Houston after finishing high school. His God-Mother took him under the same roof as Joe Buck$. Thats where he dropped his first verse and jaws dropped. Getting him on wax was mandatory. He was then led to see Joe's big cousin V, the leader of O.G.F.C. Rydaboy was immediately recruited. Under the wing of no one and grinding tooth and nail for studio time, he gained the aspect that "If you want some shit done you gon have to do it yaself yo, waitin on niggas aint suttin dats gon getchu where you tryna be." OGFC gathered enough money to drop a mixtape in Houston titled "Straight 2 da Streets", which Rydaboy saw not a cent off. There is no question about where the money went from that mixtape nor who has it. "Fuck it", says Rydaboy. He was called to move back to NC with his Step-Father to help with the raising of his younger siblings. Without hesitation he greyhounded his way there to aid his family. Hooking up with an old friend from high school who he used to drop rhymes with, Breeze, he started to drop solo tracks and saw that he was able to do it on his own. Breeze and Rydaboy collaborated on tracks yet to be heard by anyone. Rydaboy was then thrown to tha wolves by his own fam and moved to Nacogdoches, TX. He gave a copy of his mixtape dropped in Houston to a guy he barely knew named Johnathan(T Streetz) known throughout Nac as the infamous "Turtle". Johnathan spoke of his skills on the mic and they started to exchange lyrics. Freestyling in spare time and speaking of getting in the studio to make classic records was their daily hobby outside of grindin'. They then decided to find the nearest studio which happened to be D.M.S. Studios. JDodd saw the young talented MC's abilities and wanted to work with them right off the bat. They started to drop freestyles over other peoples beats and some T Streetz original takes. The quality was horrible and studio time started to become a problem so Rydaboy gathered the idea of "Let's make our own studio so we dont have to worry about needing somebody else to handle our bizz". He then gathered a mic, laptop and software required to engineer quality singles. With this in hand he then built a studio booth in his home where the young MC's started to deliver classics like "On My Job", "Im On My Grind", "Greatest Alive", and "I Told Em". T Streetz spoke of their team "Young Supastar Entertainment" which consisted of himself and another member "Dat Boy Magic" and Rydaboy was all in for becoming a link within a label. Still attaining his solo standing and becoming co-ceo of Young Supastar Entertainment was something that he saw fit for his position and future. Rydaboy was then called back up north to NC by his Step-Father once again. With a baby on the way he decided to gun up north to help his family and also try to gather a decent environment for the raising of his child. He went from NC to NJ on a trip with his family and things went awol. He was left in Newark, NJ, with a child on the way and no access to any funds. This startled him but one thing he always knew was that no matter what is going on around you or happening to you, the world keeps spinning as long as your eyes are open. He returned back to TX with assistance from friends and family. The birth of his daughter opened his eyes to the aspect of life being not only for him but for the life ahead of his child. He knows that his footsteps mark the path that his daughter will have to walk upon so he tries to make sure to walk gently lol. Joining back up with the Young Supastars they started to gather notions on their musical ability by hit beatmaker and producer Eric "Smidi" Smith, "We Got Now" Magazine, Reverbnation, Myspace, Twitter, and many other musical outlets. They are becoming a major thing and nothing seems to be stopping these guys from achieving their goals. Rydaboy currently resides in Lufkin, TX where he raises his daughter and continues to delive hits to his fanbase constantly.
