*Where did you grow up?

I was born in The Bronx (NY) and went to elementary school in Bronxville (Westchester NY) where I studied music @ Concordia College & started on this musical path to greatness :-)~

*What made you realize that music was your path?

I realized officially as I was approaching graduating HS that I had to choose a college career path and the ONLY curriculum of interest to me was "Audio Engineering". Truthfully, I've been involved in music (piano playing & singing in choirs) since age 4. I also received a mini toy Studio (mixer/tape/mic/effects) set as a Christmas gift at this early age. Who knew? :-)~

*How would you describe the music that you typically create?

I'm mostly into R&B love songs/ballads but lately I've been experimenting trying to find my own sound with alternative/dance/world music with R&B lyrics & mellow raps pertaining to the struggling artist trying to break in the industry.

*Who are your biggest musical influences?

ALL THE MONSTER BALLADS from the 80's (Gun's & Roses, Def Leopard, Extreme, Roxette) as well as most male/female R&B stars of present/past like Prince, Maxwell, D'Angelo, Usher, Barry White, & Marvin Gaye...

*What makes your music unique?

I try my best NOT to use Samples from old records. Out of all my beats/songs I think I've made 5 w/sampling in all my 29 yrs. I will use loops that come bundled with software though (that's quite legal, lol). ALSO, I previously stated that I'm mostly into R&B love songs/ballads but lately I've been experimenting trying to find my own sound. So now, I have a unique (one of a kind) way of putting together songs that evoke emotional responses in people of all ages/races regardless of it's genre -> meaning, I'll take an uptempo "film-scorish" sounding track, then place 2 rappers, of opposing lyrical flows, on it. But the twist is it's really cool how I make each rapper's style have a tailored made section, of my beat, to their respective rhymes. Then to top it off, I (Purple Chrome) would sing/feature on the R&B hook inbetween. It's Sheer Genius how it all melds together, lol :-)~...

*Has there been one particular moment in your musical career that you're most proud of?

Yes, 2 actually: Graduation Day (College - BA in Music w/concentration in Studio Composition & Production) AND the day I got/saw my first album in Apple's iTunes Store for worldwide distribution.

*What's next for you?

Sky's the limit! I have a vision that I'll remain secret till the opportunity presents itself but it is an all inclusive vision of success for me and all the independent artists I've worked. They actually inspire me and I tell them that. You see I stay to my self mostly and help who I can 'cause I was raised to do so without expecting anything back from the people you help out. And I've actually received, in return from others, more "life wealth" not involving money. Kinda like life paying me back royalties through strangers/good Samaritans for the good I've done for others... Anyway, I just pray that the people I may have alienated out my life will try and NOT take it personal (LOL) and see that this goal I have is for a higher purpose to hopefully benefit us all in the long term. People nowadays only see what's right in front of them and not the long run. -> While people are partying MOST days I'm working and tryna figure out who to collab with next to make something that's hot but still has integrity to it...
