“Live, PRIMAL DEVICE posses the foppish bluster of At The Drive In, and make the kind of noise that reduces journalists to made-up words like "Rockicity" and " Heaviostitude".
On record, songs that shot by in a timeless bloodrush od chaos turn out to be huge, twisted epics. Mainly, the album makes you want to see them live.
Think Miocene, Million Dead, Fugazi. Anything from a few years back before the haircut was invented, but with the haircut. ”

“From the first song, the building, powerful 'An Automatic Fear', it's obvious that this four-piece have some interesting ideas and an ability to write passionate and engaging rock songs.
With nods to bands such as Muse, Idlewild, Fugazi, Biffy Clyro and Sparta, there is a definate prog element to their songs (with them often breaking the 5 minute mark) without becoming self-indulgent or losing any of the band's accessibility or muscle.
With the twin guitars and fantastic dual vocals of Joe Greenall and Nick Fisher, PRIMAL DEVICE often sound huge. It's still early days, but this shows one hell of a lot of potential. ”

“PRIMAL DEVICE might hail from Milton Keynesbut don't hold that against them. They've clearly put the frustration of being locked away in the country's wierdest town to good use, writing a set of visceral post-hard-core tunes that drip youthful exuberance and showcase huge potential.
And, although the likes of 'Public Show' and'A Decade In' underline a slight propensity for the overly earnest, at their best ('Motion Sickness', 'Whilst We're On The Subject') the tangled riffage and boarderless energy offers enough to suggest that, afew records down the line, we could have a UK answer to At The Drive In on our hands. ”
