Q: What's your testimony? Why did you accept Jesus as your savior?

A: Firstly, thank you for taking the time out to learn more about me and my ministry. I am sure that this is a lot to absorb but, this is the direction that the agency is moving and the focus of the New Director. We must begin to change gears and turn the corner to ensure that we are working in partnership to reach these bench marks. To increase the self-esteem and emotional challenges of all the youth that you have the opportunity to touch. We want them to be confident in the skills that you have help them build while allow them to move forward and succeed. My testimony is an ongoing one. To sum it up, I was someone that was pretty much made to go to church and actively participate. This added to me not wanting to be there or really be involved with anything that had to do with God. Don’t get me wrong, I never despised God or lost belief once I said the prayer of faith but I had no interest in getting overly involved in “church” or even attempting to learn more about what God had to say about His way of doing things. I considered it impossible and not worth the effort to even try. I looked at church and God’s word as a huge list of things that I couldn’t do and that I would essentially go to hell for regardless, because as a man/human it is impossible for me to live perfectly. With all of those thoughts and run-ins with “hard-nosed” believers I rebelled. I fought, sold drugs, had causal relationships with no intention on being committed and stuck to my own school of thought. Mind you, through all of this I figured that because I had said the prayer of faith and really got to a place of accepting Jesus as the Son of God and being my savior (I’ll get to that in a moment) that, according to the word, I could just ask forgiveness REAL QUICK (I actually used to practice this) and make it into heaven. So I hid behind my distrust for women as an excuse not to get into relationship. I would be a friend and nothing more, leaving them to determine what
