Great food / live music / and hopefully a lot of sunshine. Returning highlights include Manchester based Hip Hop artist My Name Is...*B* who is no stranger to Preston Carnival and will be returning for his 5th year in what he promises to be his best appearance at the carnival yet. Truth Be Told is an open mic night that aims to bring musicians and lovers of music together to network, share their songs in front of a friendly audience and listen to good music. All musicians, whatever their disciplines are welcome, but all those who would like to perform have to bring their own equipment. So if you're a musician or like listening to good music come down and have yourself a good Monday night. This is the order of the night, that includes the times, date and set up for the event: • We require up to 25 performers maximum on the night • Obviously you are under no obligation; this is a free and easy event, for friends and net-workers. • This is an informal event that is designed to for networking, listening to and playing music in front of a diverse crowd of musicians and music lovers in a relaxed and friendly environment. • Sound checks in the formal sense will be line checks only • I will end the night with 2 of my recent songs • In terms of set length; we are thinking sets would be no more that 10 minutes each. The equipment we will be providing is: Stage, microphones (3), Microphone stands(3), PA Two Music stand, CD player, Speakers, Vinyl DJ decks.

The Manchester International Roots Orchestra supported by Testimony. On Wednesday 16th January 2013 - Over 100 musicians auditioned to feature in a new Manchester based ensemble that is due to perform new & original music to audiences all around the country. Community Arts North West & The Royal Northern College of Music have teamed up to deliver this exciting new movement that is sure to raise the profile of the musical talent from Manchester's diverse communities. My Name Is...*B* a long affiliate with CAN has been a solo artist for shortly over a year and is one individual who made the final ensemble with his Hip Hop based contributions. With an already captivating stage presence, put him in an environment surrounded by experienced musicians he can no doubt absorb and take notes from, he is just one of the many highlights to draw you in when the 'MIRO' take to the stage.
