| Born and raised in a small town in Arkansas, Charles Joseph Bottorff, (Bird-off), now 18, has been musically involved passionately since the age of 6 when his mother first introduced him to country music. Since then Charles has been performing mostly in his bedroom in front of a mirror, but also doing choir in church and some school functions up until the age of 11. Where he grew into being on stage full-time with theater arts. Charles Joseph Bottorff was a shy young teen entering the world of arts and performance arts altogether was a bit scary for him to embrace, which such large crowds and gatherings. Charles knew that if he wanted to be an entertainer he had to get over the fear of stage fright and meeting hundreds of strangers at every show. By the age of 14, Charles finally grew out of that stage and headed out to Memphis, TN where he was discovered by the John Robert Powers & Cherie Basque, whom became his agent, booking the young Charles Joseph Bottorff for over 25 shows in three months. Then suddenly, that summer of 2003, Charles Joseph Bottorff signed his first recording contract with SilentHill Entertainment. While writing his first album, the label decided to release the young star due the constant wear and tear of vocal changes he was going through. While copping with the loss of the deal, Charles, 15 at the time, felt as if his dreams were shattered. After leaving school and all his friends behind in Arkansas for this deal, he gave up performing to spend the rest of his teenage years as a normal teen. By the age of 17, Charles Joseph Bottorff traded the normal life in for the life he knew and loved the most. "I knew I belong on a stage somewhere, and not performing for over a year and half was torture! I finally got back on track and started a Myspace Music Profile to keep me going. For if I knew I had people counting on me in my friends list, they would be my strength and guide to stay focused no matter how hard it's going to be to find another deal." With that in mind, Charles Joseph Bottorff is a 'new and rising' Singer/ Lyricist / Songwriter from the Delta/ Mid South. Now 18, he isn't slowing down for anyone and he can't be fooled! Growing up in Arkansas gave him his love for music has given ''CJB'' more than enough blessings & talent. With the will power and ambition to always step forward in everything new, to never back down from discovering new sounds and ways to connect with the audience and song . Loved by many, young and old... They seem to always connect with Charles Joseph Bottorff in a strong loving way when they meet him in person for the first time and every time. They can also connect with his music in so many ways since there isn't a 'block' to one innocent style or sound. Charles Joseph Bottorff is also a young, but rising & talented actor as well. He's had countless acting opportunities since age 11. Now at the age of 18, you can say "CJB" has countless of fans all over the Mid South and soon to be all over the world.
