“As of 1st January 2014 Bloodshed will be known as Detoxen. Same band members just a more mature polished band.”

“Having almost won the coveted slot at Bloodstock, Bloodshed have taken a short but deserved break. They haven't been idle though, they have been writing new material, getting some new recordings done and creating a tighter more polished band. They are ready to return this coming Monday 8th October at the Bull n Vic Dartford where they will promise not to disappoint. They are still the hard working band that you have all come to admire. With a string of gigs being lined up a new EP on its way and long awaited merchandise 2013 looks set to be a good year for Bloodshed but more importantly for you thier fans.”
The Funky Chicken
“South-East London thrashers BLOODSHED (7) have had a marvellous year, their performances going from strength to strength and building upon the hard work of 2011. Today they deliver what is expected with the likes of 'Midnight rush' and 'Overdose' fizzing with the energy of an electric bolt flashing around the venue at increasingly high speed and volume. There is a feeling though that the band need to peel away the Metallica-isms that have dominated their material if they are to take that step to another level. If the last year and a half is go by then fans have nothing to worry about.
“Bloodshed will be appearing at the Dirty South Lewisham on 21st April 2012 for thier chance to compete for a pestigious place in the final of BandQuest 2012 where they will be looking to win a place at Bloodstock. Offering Metallica come Exodus old school style thrash metal with thier own interpretation, Bloodshed can promise everyone they will get you pumped and ready to thrash and go away wanting more of the same......you will not be disappointed”

"Next up are South East London thrashers BLOODSHED (7) who have gradually been building a reputation for themselves with high profile support slots with the likes of Blaze Bayley, London hardcore mob Karybdis, Kent Metal 2 The Masses winners Training Icarus and Beholder. Their old school thrash approach, which bellows early Metallica and Exodus to the rafters, is certainly nothing new but it is thrown at the audience with such an incurable enthusiasm it's impossible not to let every riff, drum beat and vocal line affect you in some way. The songs themselves show a quality which will inevitably help the band to the next level. It's been a fine year for the Bloodshed so far and 2012 looks set to be even better."
Sonic Shocks - Alan Hicks (Sep 30th 2011)
"Today the second part of the Blaze Bayley 'Promise and Terror' tour rolled into Gravesend, supported by some quality unsigned talent, the first band being BLOODSHED (7/10) who do a good job of kicking things off in an explosion of 80s fuelled thrash metal. The band delve into the glory years of thrash and deliver an exciting set of Metallica-come-Exodus musical compositions which ensures the crowd are pumped up for the rest of the night".
