Ask D.Ranged anything...
Q: What, for you, differentiates a radio edit from the original mix?
A: For me it means that for example Cotton Candy the original is about 15 min long and is to be played or mixed in a club.To play this song on the radio I need to shorten it to max about 6 min.So I remix the track in the same tempo but I remove the longer ambient parts and use the powerfull parts to create a more commercial track that can be played on the radio. In short, a shorter more powerfull version than the original.
