The Atomic Sherpas welcome Rob Peterson and Anthony Cossa into the legion of the third eye portal. Anthony stepped into the breach in the time of a thousand drummers and boldly carved his place in our psychedelic neck o' the woods. Security Productions presents another killer night at El Corita with a power-packed variety line-up! If it's a Security Productions night, you know every band is going to be good - get there early and stay late! The El Corita bar is a comfy little hangout in North LA, with Mexican food, brightly painted walls, and convenient nearby street parking. 9 pm - Somos Mysteriosos - fun-punk with a variety of interesting things thrown in, from the occasional surf original to a Motorhead cover, you never know 10 pm - The Atomic Sherpas - freakazelic doo-woppery, punkified 11 pm - Sylvia Juncosa - that's our girl, rockin' her heart out with the dream-team rhythm section of Stephen Reed and John Montgomery 12 midnight - Bastidas! - these "choose your genre from the dropdown list" things don't do this band justice. Sure, it says "Latin/Jazz/Punk/Noise" on their FB page but it could just as easily say "trippy guitar rainforest nightmare acid trip" - just check 'em out for yourself, and jump into the dream. 21-and-over *** only $5.00
