“I always try to keep an open mind when I'm exposed to new music, and Ashes Ignite was like a breath of fresh air in a music scene so congested with unoriginal sounds. Their unique blend of contemporary sounds and just good ol' rock and roll was a pleasant surprise, as I always expect music from this generation to be commonplace and cliche. Their singer has a fantastic vocal range for their genre, and I love the slight feminine touch she adds to the heavy riffs and driving beats. It's refreshing to see genuinely talented people work hard at what they love, and it's paid off. Keep it up; can't wait to hear more from you guys.”

“I honestly don't really know what to say. It's just an awesome CD. I'm not much of a Rock critique, but the punk feel was definitely there. I think Dreaming of Drowning was my favorite out of the three; the intro riff had a real Metallica-esque sound to it, kinda like the intro of Sanitarium or Enter Sandman in tone quality. The vocals just mix so well with the instrumentals, I'm proud of ya man, you and the rest of Ashes Ignite. I'll be waiting for the next installment!!”

“I'm glad to see that even on the first CD, the band can cover so many bases. Energetic drums, soaring guitar, and driving bass lines help propel the poetic lyrics to new plateaus, making this a band to be reckoned with. The fusion of old school punk and more modernized indie rock works well to create something fresh and new in these times of stagnant regurgitation in the music scene.”

“The music sounds great, especially with the stirring vocals of the lead singer Danielle carrying the songs forward. There is an old school punk vibe that the songs give off, and their are also moments when I am listening in which I am reminded of bands such as Paramore and New Found Glory. This is a great beginning CD, and I'm excited to see how the band progresses from here.”

“Hey Ashes Ignite! My name is Matt Cogar I am the stepbrother of Jesse Schmitz. Good going. Sick guitars, the drums could be slower, and the singer could sound like another paramore if she gains confidence! So overall not bad! I just wanted to say hello and I look forward to see you post new songs and hopefully an actual music video? ”
