Bio: I'm me. I'm a fan of music we all can relate to and feel, not just hear.

Born in New Orleans, raised just outside Tupelo and life settled me down close to Memphis. I've been fortunate to play and learn from some incredible musicians from El Paso to Nashville and although I have a ton o...See Full Bio

Q: you have a great tone.what kind off guitars and amps do you use

A: Thank you very much. That's a great question because I'm a firm believer that equipment doesn't have to be expensive to be great, you just have to search with an open mind. My main amp is a Bugera BC-30 212 all tube combo. They are very under rated amps and i spent $500 on it brand new and ive had 0 problems from it. It's basically a copy of a Matchless DC 30 which runs about $3000 For solid body guitar tones I use a PRS SE single cut which was a gift from my awesome wife. She surprised me with it a few months after we got married. I also have an old well worn out Mexican strat that I bought for $150 off eBay. I'm a huge fan of hollow body guitars for their full rich tone and thanks to Ibanez for their ArtCore series I can afford to have them. My main guitar is a unique strat sized little hollow body the Ibanez Awd82 ltd. I lucked up and bought one for $350 back in 2004 they were a limited edition guitar and only made 1000. Thats the one featured in the pic on my page. For a really fat sound I use an ibanez AS73 which resembles a Gibson es335. I use a boss od-2 overdrive set on about 3 and a MXR dyna comp compressor to smooth things out and add sustain. They beauty of my rig is its a working mans rig. I'd love to be able to afford a Gibson Les Paul or an ES335 but I'd hate to take one into a smoky dive .
