Q: What do you reference (playback) your songs on? I notice what I consider a flaw. Your songs are instrument heavy vocal lite. A good mix puts the vocal on top most of the time. Just wondering.

A: I mix using Garageband. I use "studio monitor" headphones at the studio to listen to playback. And Bose speakers at home. So I write the music tracks first usually using Software instruements, sometimes real guitar. Then I record vocals and usually do a 2nd voice to sync and a 3rd to harmonize on parts. So do u think I should just raise the volume on my vocals? Thanks for feedback, I'm still learning.
