    Linda Mckenzie sings with 2 acoustic buddies, Tommy Williams & Jerry Fox, performing in an AM time slot for about 30 minutes (catch this act before noon at Gladefest somewhere between 9 am to approx. 10:30 am. GladeFest is a fall celebration in a small community between Lebanon & Mt. Juliet, TN and offers a lot to see & do with fun for the entire family. This year’s event takes place Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, with most activities taking place between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Early birds can start the day with breakfast at Gladeville Elementary School between from 7:30 and 10 a.m., sponsored by the Mt. Juliet Chick-Fil-A. The GladeFest 5K Run, hosted by and benefiting the Wilson Central Navy JROTC, starts at 8 a.m., with registration beginning at 7 a.m. Most GladeFest events will kick off at 9 a.m. Among the attractions this year are a farmers’ market; variety of craft vendors; carnival games at Gladeville Elementary’s fall festival; pony rides; a live entertainment stage sponsored by Sonic; antique car, tractor and engine contests; and free children’s inflatables at Wilson Bank & Trust. Baseball games will also take place throughout the day at the Gladeville ball field. From 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., registration will be open for the GladeFest Antique/Classic Car & Truck show, with awards to be presented at 2:30 p.m. Sponsored by Manheim Nashville and Cumberland Auto Body Repair, the auto show offers an opportunity to see a variety of antique and classic vehicles from across Tennessee and surrounding states. There’s no need to worry about going hungry at GladeFest. A wide variety of food vendors will be on hand offering concessions ranging from hamburgers and barbecue to homemade pies. As part of a showcase of Gladeville community history, entries from quilt and photography contests will be held inside Wilson Bank & Trust’s Gladeville office. Entries for both contests will be accepted on Sept. 13 and 14 at the bank, located at 8875 Stewarts Ferry Pike.
