The only place to be on a Monday night in Chicago
With all the talk of violence in Chicago we often forget to celebrate the peace that exists in Chicago. For every tragic young life lost, there are also many saved. As our children return to school, we want to emphasize positive possibilities in their lives and not just the dangers before them. We want to embrace there small victories, and give them confidence that despite the violence Peace in its many forms is a stronger and more enduring force. The event will run from 10am-6pm on Saturday, August 28, 2010. will feature a live DJ, live radio remote, live performances, FREE food, door prizes, FREE giveaways, FREE school supplies, featured speakers, youth activities, and booths for various businesses, government agencies, and non for profits to highlight and promote their pro-peace initiatives and programs.
